The new genus superficially resembles Pseudoeucanthus Brian but differs from it by the presence of three modified setae on the first antennae of Neobomolochus. Bomolochus nothrus Wilson is placed in synonomy with Holobomolochus glyphisodontis (Kr0yer), and Bomolochus ardeolae Kr0yer is placed in synonomy with Bomolochus belones Burmeister."
