"One objective of this report is to describe and analyze two components (non-obsidian lithic tools and bone recoveries) of the obsidian non-geometric microlith culture in the Philippines prehistory and in this way provide some preliminary data on this stage of man's adaptation to his environment in the Batangas area.
A second objective is to be able to contribute through the descriptive analysis part of the corpus of stone tool descriptions in the Philippines that in the future will be large enough and consistent enough to form a basis for a Philippine stone tool classification" -- page 3.
