"The present study attempts to compare early Iron Age settlements to see what factors underlie variability in subsistence economies. Since a reciprocal relationship exists between a people's economy and their social organization, the problem is to determine how differing economies have determined socio-religious structures of communities, in particular the Jar-Burial Culture of Magsuhot in Negros Oriental, and the Early and Late Iron Age settlements of Pila in Laguna, island of Luzon." -- page 1. |
